This month we are excited to share a new idea with you – CardFunder

From the CardFunder site:

Crowd Funding has become a powerful tool in helping people around the world raise money to pursue their passions. Compassion is introducing an entirely new take on that idea-CardFunding. Thanks to an innovative corporate partnership, Compassion has the opportunity to collect new, unused and partially used gift cards and turn them into funding for our mission-helping children around the world escape poverty.

Not sure how to share CardFunder on your blog? Here’s a couple of ideas:

Spring Cleaning

Ask your blog audience to get a jump on their Spring cleaning. Ask them to clean out junk drawers, wallets, cars, etc for gift cards they’ll never use. Encourage them to donate their gift cards on www.cardfunder.org. All donations go to our Where Most Needed fund and help cover unexpected needs of the children we serve. Have your readers share the results of their Spring Cleaning efforts in the comment section of your blog.

Inspire Generosity in Children

So often our children, nieces, nephews, kids in Sunday school, etc want to do something to help other children in need but just don’t have the resources. Write a blog post sharing ideas about how children can use something like CardFunder to inspire generosity in their family, friends or community.

He Makes All Things New

Write a blog post centered around Revelation 21:5. Share a story with your blog audience about how the Lord transformed something in your life from ‘old’ to ‘new.’ Relate it to the idea of CardFunder transforming gift cards into donations.
