I recently attended a blog conference and was impressed with the camaraderie and networking that took place. This got me thinking about ways I could help you with your blogging and the ideas you want to share with others.

What could I possibly do to help you succeed?

Introducing: A Link-up and Blog Hop

What is a link-up? What’s a blog hop? It’s simple.

A link-up is multiple blogs joining together to increase traffic to each other. A blog hop is a list of blog posts that is shared on multiple blogs.

This month’s writing assignment doesn’t require you to participate in the link-up or blog hop. They are both voluntary. However, by participating you may get more visitors to your blog.

I am about to give you an assignment, which you may choose to write about. If you do, visit my post and scroll to the bottom. You’ll see the option to share your post’s URL (along with a thumbnail image) and the option to grab the blog hop code to embed into your post.

It will look like this:

With your link and thumbnail image visible on the Compassion Blog more people, people who may never have heard about or read your blog, will now see it and have an opportunity to click over to it.

All you need to do is write about the assignment below and then link up with us.

ASSIGNMENT: Which Bible Verse Prompts and Guides You to Serve Others?

The reality of poverty can be overwhelming and daunting to a point of disabling us from truly engaging in the mission to serve God and others. But look at you! You’re doing something. You are blogging on behalf of children in poverty.

But why are you doing so? What got you started? and what keeps you going?

In your post, share the Bible verse that prompted you to begin serving others and continues to guide and encourage you as you serve.

Writing Prompts:

Tell us the story behind the verse:

  • What was going on in your life?
  • How did God get your attention?
  • Give us the testimony behind your decision and commitment to place others first and how that led you to become a Compassion Blogger (if it did).

If you would like a nice way to tie this assignment up with a pretty bow, then consider including a Compassion Banner at the bottom of your post.

Then, when you’re done, visit this post and link up with us.

Be sure to check out the other links posted and give your fellow Compassion Bloggers some comment love!

To encourage even more networking, be sure to grab the blog hop code and add it to your post.

Thanks for all you do!

Note: If you are not a Compassion Blogger, you can sign-up to receive these assignments via email. It’s super easy.
