Ahhh, summer: sunshine, swimming, picnics…mosquitoes. For those of us in the United States, mosquitoes are usually just a nuisance that make us itchy. In many other parts of the world, mosquito bites can be lethal.

This month, educate your readers about the deadly presence of malaria around the world. Be as creative as you’d like: write a story from a mosquito’s perspective, talk about the worst mosquito attack you’ve ever lived through, share facts on the disease and how easy it is to prevent.
