“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6, NKJV

It’s September, which means back to school for kids of all ages. A new year ahead. New skills to acquire, new life lessons to gain – probably a few bumps and disappointments ahead – but Lord willing, plenty of growth and maturity in the end.

This month, write about your favorite school memories. Best friends, a teacher who made an impact, extra-curricular activities, field trips, whatever you look back on with fondness.

• Who were the people involved?
• What challenges did you face?
• Do you still keep in touch with those friends?
• How is your life different now because of that event?

Feel free to use this video to show how Compassion centers are making meaningful memories for the children who participate.

While we’re at it, let’s remember to pray for our teachers. Here’s to a great 2018/2019 school year!

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” Proverbs 32:8
