The Compassion International Advocacy team’s new blog, Step Into My Shoes was created for those who want to learn more about the issue of poverty and what they can do to make a difference in the lives of the poor.

And that’s where you, the Compassion Bloggers Network comes in.

You know Compassion. You know the stories of children living in poverty. You are the voice that reminds the world to not look away and ignore “the least of these.”

And Step Into My Shoes would like to feature YOUR voice on their blog!

The Step Into My Shoes editor is asking for you to choose one of these questions to write about:

  1. Why does your family serve those in need?
  2. How did you start serving those in need and what works best?

As you consider these writing prompts, focus your attention on the unique audience you are writing for – people who most likely know nothing about Compassion and who may know very little about poverty and children who live in poverty.

Make your post personal, unique and interesting. If your family is serving those in need by working at a local rescue mission, tell that story. This is about your journey of serving the poor, whether it started with Compassion or not.

Remember, you are the expert voice sharing your story of advocating for children in need with those who want to do the same.

Lastly, try to link to the Step Into My Shoes blog from your post but do not write about the blog itself.

After you write your post, please contact us with the link so we can share it with the Step Into My Shoes editor. She is looking forward to featuring Compassion Bloggers on their blog!

In a few months we’ll let you know if your post was chosen and when it will be published.
